The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) Center for Patient Safety, Research, and Practice are seeking public comment on their Measuring Outcomes in Orthopedics Routinely (MOOR) project. They are looking to gather stakeholder and expert input on quality measure development for patients undergoing elective total hip arthroplasty (THA) and/or total knee arthroplasty (TKA). They are focused on stakeholders’ opinions on using electronic health records data compared to administrative claims data for an outcome quality measure. The information from this measure will be used to evaluate the quality of care provided by Merit-based Incentive Payment System eligible clinicians or clinician-groups. Review the Measures.
