AAHKS Signs COVID-19 Letter to Congressional Leadership

AAHKS joins the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association and more than 135 specialty and state societies in writing to Congressional leaders seeking to provide guidance on important health care provider issues for an expected “phase four” of COVID-19 relief. The letter expresses concerns around the Medicare Accelerated and Advanced Payment Program, direct financial support from the federal government to health care providers, small business loans, telemedicine and increased liability and risk physicians are facing, among other issues.
