Orthopaedic Specialist Visits Down 18%

The Commonwealth Fund published findings on research conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic showing the impact on patient visits. With the first report issued in April and followed up in May, June, the latest report issued this month shows many specialties have rebounded; however, some remain below pre-pandemic levels. According to the report, “there have been striking differences in specialty visit trends throughout the pandemic,” and orthopaedics is still 18% below baseline. Read the full report.
