Editor-in-Chief, Brian J. McGrory, MD, has named three associate editors for the new, online medical journal, Arthroplasty Today. Stefano A. Bini, MD, Mark J. Spangehl, MD and Bryan D. Springer, MD will join Dr. McGrory in establishing Arthroplasty Today under the direction of AAHKS and published by Elsevier, Inc. The AAHKS Board of Directors approved the entire editorial board during their meeting this week.
Dr. Bini is Chief of the Adult Reconstruction Service at the Oakland Facility of Kaiser Permanente and on the teaching faculty of the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program. He is currently a member of the International Committee of AAHKS and Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors of the association.
Dr. Spangehl is an Associate Professor at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Program Director of the Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He practices orthopaedics at Mayo Clinic in Arizona and is an AAHKS member.
Dr. Springer is an attending orthopaedic surgeon at the OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center in Charlotte, North Carolina where he also serves as Fellowship Director. He is an AAHKS member who served as the Program Chair of the 2013 Annual Meeting.
Arthroplasty Today will be published four times a year and serve as a venue for current topics related to joint replacement and associated procedures. It will be an open-access, peer-reviewed online journal with a focus on case reports of the highest quality.
