Kevin J. Bozic, MD, MBA has accepted the position as the Inaugural Chair of Surgery and Perioperative Care at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Bozic will be involved in developing the first Medical School and Academic Health System to be built from the ground up at a Tier 1 Research University in the United States in over 40 years. He will also be responsible for working with the Dean of DMS/UT Austin and other leaders within the Austin community to develop, implement, teach, and evaluate innovative new models for healthcare delivery and payment aimed at optimizing the health of the population and improving the value of patient care. “This is a subject I am passionate about, and an area where I have focused much of my clinical, academic, and leadership efforts within organized medicine over the past decade,” said Dr. Bozic.
