In their meeting last weekend in Rosemont, Illinois, the AAHKS Board of Directors and committee chairs worked together to create a new strategic plan that identifies the association’s priorities for the next three years. The new plan, which will be formally adopted by the Board at an upcoming meeting, places great emphasis on the Association’s advocacy and education efforts.
As part of the process, the Board also updated and simplified a draft of the mission statement that summarizes these efforts. “This strategic plan is intended to guide our all efforts, so they align with the important reasons AAHKS exists as an association,” said AAHKS Executive Director, Michael J. Zarski, JD.
Also this week, the Board of Directors of the American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) met at the Rosemont headquarters. Immediate Past President Brian S. Parsley, MD and Bryan Springer, MD represent AAHKS on that Board.
