Companies Offering Employees Free Bundled Surgeries

An article on NPR’s All Things Considered reports that some major companies in the US, including Lowe’s home improvement company and Walmart, offer their employees surgery for some major operations with no out-of-pocket costs. The companies are making deals with large hospitals and medical centers to provide bundled care for the surgical episodes, including hip and knee replacements, which include physical therapy and complications that may arise.
