Bone Wax Study Published in JOA

A Seth Greenwald, DPhil (Oxon), gives his perspective on the study, “Bone wax seen as effective for decreasing total blood loss after TKA,” published in The Journal of Arthroplasty in May. Dr. Greenwald points out in an Orthopedics Today editorial that the study was done in the absence of tranexamic acid, and that “bone wax continues to enjoy both historical and contemporary use in the OR.” Full story.
