The CMS Innovation Center will be holding a second Open Door Forum to answer questions regarding the BPCI Advanced Model and the Application Process on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. (EST). In BPCI Advanced, participants will be expected to redesign care delivery to keep Medicare expenditures within a defined budget while maintaining or improving performance on specific quality measures. Participants bear financial risk, have payments under the model tied to quality performance, and are required to use Certified Electronic Health Record Technology. By meeting these requirements, the model qualifies as an Advanced APM. Register on the CMS website and access the transcript and audio from the first Open Door Forum.

Although I’m very interested in learning as much as I can about BPCI advanced, the Forum is to be held during a busy OR day. Will it be recorded? Is there a chance to listen later or read a transcript?
The BPCI-Advanced Open-Door Forum is presented by CMS. A transcript and audio from the first forum they held is available, and they will likely make the same available from this second forum.
To access the transcript and audio, go to:
https://innovation.cms.gov/resources/bpci-advanced-qaodf.html
Other resources on BPCI-Advanced are available on the CMS website at https://innovation.cms.gov/initiatives/bpci-advanced/index.html.
AAHKS has a summary and explanation of the first forum at https://operationwalkglobal.org/bpci-advanced-forum-covers-tjr-issues/, and we will have another summary and explanation of the second forum. Be sure to check this Friday’s AAHKS News email for the latest.
