AAHKS Releases Position Statement on Outpatient Joint Replacement

The AAHKS Board of Directors this week approved the AAHKS Position Statement on Outpatient Joint Replacement which was developed with input from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The Hip Society and The Knee Society. This statement provides recommendations, in a continually changing practice landscape, for outpatient hip and knee arthroplasty procedures to guide hospitals, surgeons and institutions in appropriate and safe patient care.
