AAHKS, Hip and Knee Societies Comment on Performance Measures

Last month we asked members to submit comments on The Joint Commission’s (TJC) new Advanced Certification program for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacements. The Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) for this project included several AAHKS leaders and members. The TAP identified six draft performance measures for process improvement, outcomes including patient-reported outcomes in hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers performing total hip and total knee replacements. In addition to your comments, The Hip Society and The Knee Society joined AAHKS in sending a joint letter of support and comments to TJC.
