Dr. Huddleston and Dr. Bolognesi met with U.S. Representative Diana DeGette (D-CO) on Thursday.
AAHKS President Michael P. Bolognesi, MD, Health Policy Council Chair James I. Huddleston III, MD and RUC Advisor Adolph J. Yates Jr., MD were joined by AAOS representatives in meeting with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) staff to discuss the value of total hip and total knee arthroplasty in Fee For Service and Bundled payments. Dr. Bolognesi and Dr. Huddleston ended this week in Washington, DC meeting with Congressional members and staff. They’re also scheduled to meet with Health and Human Services officials and staff of the White House Office of Management and Budget in anticipation of the CMS Calendar Year 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule.
