The Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network (LAN), a partnership between the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and private, public and non-profit organizations, are holding their 2016 Spring Summit next week in Tysons Corner, VA. AAHKS President William A. Jiranek, MD will participate in a panel on “Accelerating and Aligning Clinical Episode Payment Models: Opportunities and Challenges” and 1st Vice President Mark I. Froimson, MD is participating on the panel: “Improving the Delivery of Elective Joint Replacement Care Via Episode Payment: Opportunities and Challenges.” AAHKS is engaging with the LAN to better convey the surgeon’s perspective with CMS and payors as part of our enhanced advocacy efforts.
