The AAHKS Board of Directors named the American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) as the official registry of AAHKS at the December Board meeting. The multi-stakeholder, not-for-profit AJRR collects data on primary and revision hip and knee replacement procedures throughout the United States to improve patient outcomes.
AAHKS has been a long-standing supporter of the AJRR over the years and has established a close collaborative relationship in many areas. AAHKS nominates its members to two seats on the AJRR Board of Directors. Also, the AJRR recently named Arthroplasty Today, an AAHKS publication, as their official journal. AAHKS has provided substantial financial support to the AJRR, and the two organizations have worked together to ensure that the Registry collects appropriate data that includes AAHKS approved measures and risk adjustment factors.
