AMA Helps Physicians Save Money and Reduce Administrative Burdens

During the Keynote session at the 2017 AAHKS Annual Meeting, Andrew W. Gurman, MD, Immediate Past President, American Medical Association (AMA) noted that the AMA recently lobbied to insure that health plans can’t force physicians to accept payment via virtual credit cards, as these cards are associated with exorbitant fees. The AMA offers electronic transaction toolkits for extensive information on using the Electronic Funds Transfer and other HIPAA standards to improve practice efficiency. Link to toolkits.
