FOCAL Sessions Engaging Trainees

For the third week and counting, AAHKS members are presenting daily lessons in an interactive classroom for arthroplasty fellows and senior residents. In the 12^th session of the Fellows Online COVID-19 AAHKS Learning (FOCAL) initiative, Christopher E. Pelt, MD and Jeremy M. Gililland, MD from the University of Utah moderated the most well-attended session so far with over 140 participants. Dr. Pelt discussed diagnosing periprosthetic joint infection and DAIR protocols. Dr. Gililland added to the discussion by covering antibiotic spacers and various techniques. Christopher L. Peters, MD and Lucas A. Anderson, MD fielded many questions from participants in the video conference chat room following the lectures. The faculty wrapped up with multiple case presentations and high-level discussion.
