JOR Publishes Stem Cell Issue

The Journal of Orthopaedic Research (JOR), a publication of the Orthopaedic Research Society, has published a special open-access issue, “Stem Cells,” with more than two dozen papers on the topic of stem cell therapy and orthopaedics. Farshid Guilak, PhD, Linda J. Sandell, PhD, and Johnny Huard, PhD provide the introduction to the issue, “The papers in this special issue provide a sampling of the latest research as well as in‐depth reviews of the types of research done in the musculoskeletal arena, from basic stem cell research to translational approaches in the fields of tissue engineering and stem cell therapy.” The authors acknowledge that many questions remain in the application of stem cell therapy to orthopaedics.
