The Musculoskeletal Infection Society (MSIS) held its 29th Annual Open Scientific Meeting in New York last week. The meeting included a co-branded symposium with AAHKS – a patient case panel discussion on the use of debridement, antibiotics and implant retention (DAIR). The panel was moderated by AAHKS Research Committee Chair Javad Parvizi, MD, and participants included Research Committee member Thorsten Seyler, MD, PhD, Advocacy Committee member Brian A. Klatt, MD, as well as MSIS members Angela L. Hewlett, MD and Michael Henry, MD. This is the first co-branding between the two organizations. Both MSIS and AAHKS are looking forward to more opportunities for coordination of our activities and possible collaboration in our educational and research areas of shared interest.
