New AAHKS Patient Education: Choosing the Right Surgeon for You

Using a combination of resources – both personal and online – to find and evaluate a surgeon to perform a hip or knee replacement surgery is recommended by the AAHKS Patient Education Committee in the latest article added to the online library, “Choosing the Right Surgeon for You.” The article advises that the quality and control of physician ratings websites can vary dramatically and that “there is no regulation of these websites currently and the process of reviews can be easily manipulated or falsified.” These sites can be helpful, but shouldn’t be used as the only resource.
