The AAHKS Advocacy Committee is now accepting applications for the AAHKS Health Policy Fellowship (HPF). The HPF is a two-year program that provides an opportunity for eligible orthopaedic surgeons to get involved in the policy-making process and to become effective advocates. The program exposes the Fellows to the various legislative and regulatory bodies that impact our members’ ability to render healthcare services to their patients. In addition to that governmental exposure, Fellows will participate in various AAHKS, AAOS, AMA and other organizational meetings, as well as developing and presenting at the AAHKS Annual Meeting in the second year of the fellowship. Visit the Health Policy Fellowship page to see the full details of the program, as well as the eligibility requirements and application process. Send inquiries and applications to Joshua Kerr, Director of Advocacy and International Activities, at jkerr@operationwalkglobal.org. The deadline is October 1, 2015.
