Orthopaedic Surgeon Runs for US Congress

State Representative, Julio Gonzalez, MD of Venice, Fla. has announced that he is running for U.S. Congress. If elected, he would be the second orthopaedic surgeon serving in Washington, D.C. Currently, John Barrasso, MD serves as a U.S. Senator from Wyoming. Dr. Gonzalez is a Miami native who served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
