The sold-out 2019 AAHKS Spring Meeting kicked off on Thursday with a robust debate between surgeons from the US and Europe. “At this year’s AAHKS Spring Meeting, a very capable US side debated a formidable European squad on the hottest topics in joint replacement. I think the debate format was a perfect way to introduce complex and controversial topics and hear opinions from thought leaders around the world. I’d like to thank Fares Haddad, MD, FRCS, Andre I. Ferreira, MD, Daniel Kendoff, MD, PhD, Rafael J. Sierra, MD, Michael B. Cross, MD, Matthew S. Austin, MD and R. Michael Menenghini, MD for their fabulous presentations. It was a fantastic event,” said moderator, Douglas E. Padgett, MD.
Friday started early with case discussions over breakfast and then kicked off the symposia and breakouts with, “A Case-based Approach to Simplifying the Hip-Spine Relationship in THA.” The Meeting will continue on Saturday before adjourning.
