In about one month, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model (CJR) will kick off. This five-year program begins on April 1, 2016. Under the CJR model, acute care hospitals in certain selected geographic areas will take on quality and payment accountability for retrospectively calculated bundled payments for LEJR episodes. CMS has put together a six-page provider education guide that details key points. Download the guide.
