AAOS would like to nominate members to the White House Champions of Change for Precision Medicine. This think tank seeks researchers who are generating and using data to make progress on pressing medical challenges. Nominees may include:
– Researchers who are using a data-driven approach to improve treatments or uncover new insights to improve health.
– Leaders who are empowering people to work together to share their data or build research cohorts to better understand their diseases. Individuals who are developing innovative tools and techniques to harness and analyze health data.
– Advocates who are working to ensure that patient data are handled in a way that ensures privacy and security.
The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. (Central) on May 26, 2015. Applicants must complete the AAOS Committee Appointment Program application online at http://www7.aaos.org/member/cap/. Then submit the following to Kyle Shah at shah@aaos.org: current curriculum vitae; 100-word bio; and a letter of interest highlighting his/her expertise in the subject area.
