A record number of over 2,800 total attendees took part in the 2016 AAHKS Annual Meeting at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas last week. The industry sessions and general scientific sessions were well-attended through the last day.
Studies presented included research in the areas of primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, infection, non-arthroplasty and health policy. The keynote program featured NFL Hall of Fame quarterback and broadcaster Terry Bradshaw who engaged in a lively conversation with his knee surgeon, C. Lowry Barnes, MD.
New to the meeting this year was the “Orthos on the Move” 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk. There were 100 finishers who helped raise funds for the Foundation for Arthroplasty Research and Education.
