From mobile patient engagement platforms to 3D printing to robotics to artificial intelligence and machine learning, topics in today’s program alone set a tone of high expectation for the rest of the meeting which runs until noon on Sunday.
Other highlights from today’s opening sessions included an address by U.S. Senator John Barrasso, MD, presentation of the Guest Society Awards to the European Hip Society and Sociedad Colombiana de Cirugia Ortopedica y Traumatologia, and presentation of the 2017 AAHKS Humanitarian Award to Operation Walk founder Lawrence D.
