Thanks to the work of several new arthroplasty physicians and guidance by AAHKS leadership, the Young Arthroplasty Group Committee has been created and populated. The committee, which is charged with “connecting young arthroplasty surgeons – less than 5 years in practice – in order to promote collaboration and young surgeon activity within AAHKS, with particular focus on research, leadership, and advocacy,” is made up of a chair and vice-chair, with 5 liaisons to different standing AAHKS committees. Brad S. Waddell, MD will serve as the committee’s first chair, with Jeffrey K. Lange, MD as vice-chair. The committee will work on developing opportunities for collaboration for AAHKS members in their residency, fellowship or first 5 years of practice. To date more than 250 young arthroplasty surgeons have signed up for the group. If you would like to join, please sign up today https://operationwalkglobal.org/aahks-young-arthroplasty-group/
