AAHKS Meets with HHS Deputy Secretary Hargan

Following our letter last week to U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Deputy Secretary Eric Hargan, leadership was meet with HHS Deputy Secretary via conference call. The call included a briefing to the officials on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected our members’ patients, employees, and practices. The Deputy Secretary also updated AAHKS on the $100 billion grant for health care providers that was included in the CARES Act. CMS has announced the first $30 billion of relief. We have been notified that each wave of relief will be different according to need, and we will update you as more is known.
