AAHKS Signs on to CMS Letter for E/M Surgical Codes

AAHKS joined more than 35 other state and specialty societies in signing on to an AAOS letter to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Seema Verma this week. The letter expresses concern that CMS did not accept the AMA Relative Value Update (RUC) recommended work and time values for the calendar year (CY) 2021 Office/Outpatient evaluation and management (E/M) visits, as finalized in the CY 2020 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (CMS-1715-F). It is requested that CMS make this change for CY2021. Read the letter.
