AAHKS Submits Physican Fee Schedule and QPP Comment Letter to CMS

This week AAHKS submitted comments to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on their proposed rule “Revisions to Payment Policies Under the Physician Fee Schedule and Other Revisions to Part B for FY 2019; Quality Payment Program; and Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program.” AAHKS comments focused on proposed revisions to evaluation and management codes – urging CMS to work with professional medical societies on any revisions that might be made. Additional comments were made on a proposed MIPS outcome measure for total knee arthroplasty. AAHKS also joined more than 30 other orthopaedic societies in signing on to the AAOS’s Comment letter.
