Following up on our previous report regarding Congress seeking input regarding Medicare burdens, this week AAHKS submitted 10 recommendations for Medicare regulatory and statutory relief to the US House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means, Subcommittee on Health.
These new recommendations, submitted to the Committee’s “Medicare Red Tape Relief Project,” highlight some of the recommendations previously submitted to HHS Secretary Tom Price:
- Improving CJR and alternative payment models
- Eliminating unnecessary face-to-face requirements
- Repeal of the 3-day inpatient requirement for SNF coverage
- Engaging stakeholders to modernize the Stark Law
