AAOS Seeking Action on Surprise Billing

AAOS is seeking support on grass roots action to “to find a common sense solution to surprise billing.” On Thursday the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee reported out the No Surprises Act, which benchmarks out-of-network payments to median in-network amounts. AAOS believes that “arbitration is the best approach to solving the problem in an independent, unbiased, and affordable manner. This model has been proven in the state of New York and successfully reduced out-of-network bills, stabilized premiums, and protected patients.” If you have not already written to Congress, please click here to do so.
