Despite advances in surgical techniques over the past several decades, moderate to severe postoperative pain continues to be a widespread and unresolved healthcare problem. Guidelines for the management of postoperative pain recommend the use of multimodal analgesic treatment regimens that include around-the-clock non-opioid analgesics, specifically nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). This program will feature a discussion about a once-daily intravenous (IV) NSAID. The discussion will include an overview of clinical trial data, and the potential role of this agent in multimodal analgesia for moderate to severe postoperative pain.
