Manish “Manny” Sethi, MD is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon and associate professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is running for the seat that Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) is vacating in 2020 at the end of his current term. He is president and founder of Healthy Tennessee – a non-profit organization that “seeks to improve access to preventative healthcare across Tennessee.” Raised in Hillsboro, Tenn., Dr. Sethi received his undergraduate degree from Brown University. After college, as a Fulbright Scholar, he worked in Tunisia with children suffering from muscular dystrophy. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Harvard Medical School where he also completed his orthopaedic residency.
