The research review, “Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) Prophylaxis in Major Orthopedic Surgery: Systematic Review Update,” was published by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality last month. AAHKS made comments on the draft report. Several members served as technical experts and peer reviewers for the systematic review that provides comprehensive, scientific-based information to help health-care decision makers make informed decisions about VTE.
